The short hair does make Colin look younger. Maybe the finally caught on to the fact that the intro voice describes Merlin as a "young boy?", IDK.

Can I ask, how tall do you think Bradley and Colin are ? I know Colin is quite tall but I have heard Bradley to be about 5'8 - 5'9, but they film him in certain angles and give him lifts in the shoes to make him look taller than he really is on the show.
