I did that once. They almost died though, I released them into the wild (the garden).
I don't know how Gansey does it. Probably gets help from Adam. ;)

I am not sure how he does it. Mint is an invasive species - how does he just keep it in a pot?

Don't ask me I'm shit when it comes to plants, but I feel like we should have all the mint plants we can get. We should do it for Gansey. (SOB)

Spoilery! Glendower and his favor

I've been thinking about what it says in Gansey's journal about Glendower's favor:
"Whoever wakes Glendower is granted a favor (limitless?) (supernatural?)
(some sources say reciprocal/what does that mean?)"

And what could reciprocal mean? Will someone have to take Glendower's place? Who might it be? (Would it be worth it?) Will there be a quest type of thing waiting for them at the end of the search?

Don't... don't make us say it. I hope no one has to take his place but I'm afraid someone has to? We all know who's going to die, right? ;___;

I'm just wondering about this:
"You will live because of Glendower. Someone else on the ley line is dying when they should not and so you will live when you should not."
Does that mean Gansey already got his favour?

To me it feels like all they've ever done was being on a quest.

I also thought the reciprocal thing meant that Gansey would have to take Glendower's place :( But my hope is that one of the others' favors would bring him back? - like, either bring him back to life (if he really does die) or bring him back to this world (if he's just sort of...hibernating. Or something).

But I also think the last book is going to break all our hearts so I'm very worried! :/

Thoughts on how Gansey is connected to Glendower

Adam was struck, as he occasionally was, by Gansey’s agelessness: an old man in a young body, or a young man in an old man’s life.

And it’s not only Adam who notices that. I think he’s closer to Glendower than we all think he is. Is he somehow Glendower or how the hell is he connected to him? Or is it just because he died on the ley line 7 years ago?

Your know, no coincidences.

I wonder about this as well.
Is it just part of his character? Is because he had that experience and it made him grow up faster?
It's possible there's some kind of connection to Glendower already. What also struck me was how everyone's vision centred around Gansey and probably his death, but Gansey saw Glendower.

Ronan in the tree - vision

Is anyone else wondering what Ronan saw in the vision he must have had when they got pushed into the tree?
Or did he have none?

He must've had one, doesn't he? Everyone else had a vision. And it's like he knew something would happen because he refused to step into the tree at first.
It is strange that we never learn about it though. It's got to have significance.

Let's talk our friendly neighbourhood ghost.

Do you think he'll end up playing an even bigger part than the book suggest up until now? He died when Gansey lived - what might happen to him if Gansey dies?

The most popular theory is that they just switch but for me that wouldn't really work. Also would it be too easy? Definitely thinking there's more to him than we think of now.

...still scares the shit out of me. If this is going to become true I just want someone to rip my heart out and make it quick.

He's convinced he changed his future though by making the deal with Cabeswater but what does it have to do with it all?

I won't be able to take it if it's really Adam's fault in the end! She can take anything but please not the friendship between all of them because, let's face it, it would surely cause a rift.

Can we please just bathe in that glorious moment where that happened? Forever gonna be grateful for that.
Forever gonna be proud of Adam for standing up for Ronan so he didn't get expelled (because we know it would have killed him.)

I hugged my book after rereading that particular chapter, lol!

It was such an integral part for their relationship, too. Ronan showing he was ready to give up so much to defend Adam and Adam finally taking that step he was so afraid of to prevent it.
